Camp Chief Hector - Final Morning

Our final morning has been great. Yes we have had rain and even a little snow!

Students have discovered why the program is called Sunship Earth and that we are all passengers on this ship - be sure to ask them what it all means. At their final Passenger Convention they each discussed a bad earth habit they have and what they are going to do about it. It has been a great week - thanks for sharing your awesome kids with us!!!

The buses are here early so if possible, please aim to be at school for 1pm (or even a bit before) to pick up your child.

Day 3 - pm

Another amazing day and the weather is cooperating!

They earned their EC DC IC A bracelets today and are so proud of themselves. You will have to ask them what each of the letters mean.

Tonight we did a final campfire - kids have mixed emotions for sure. They are excited to see all of you, sleep in their own bed and have a long shower :-) but they will all be sad to say goodbye to camp life - outside all day, unplugged for a few days, family style eating, setting and clearing the tables (YES - they are doing it - all on their own and no one has to ask them twice ;-), predator/prey, camouflage, and they will also miss their time with their friends and their counsellors! But don't worry they really are most excited to see all of YOU!

Good night from Camp Chief Hector!

Outdoor School Day 3 - morning

Good Morning!

We woke up to another crisp and beautiful morning. Kids can't believe that today is their last full day! Last night we went on an evening walk and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and the students got a chance to express what they have learned at camp and what they have enjoyed the most.
They continue to enjoy the view of Mount Yamnuska (see the picture below) and watching Colin the Raven join them on their hikes and adventures at camp.

Don't worry - they do miss you all :-)

Outdoor School - Day 2 pm

Another amazing day!!! The weather and food continue to impress everyone. Kids were extra ready for bed tonight after running around during the Predator/Prey game and walking all the beautiful trails that Camp Chief Hector has to offer.
Tomorrow promises to be beautiful again and the kids are excited for another great day.

Good Night From the Bow Valley.
