Agenda:
1 - Read 20 minutes each night - You can use Raz kids if you have an account.
2 - DATE CHANGE - Wednesday April 24th - Outdoor School Meeting in the Library at 5:30pm - The YMCA rep will begin at 6pm
3 - Math HW - Grade 5's have a math quiz on Decimals tomorrow - estimation, rounding, adding and subtracting greater than and less than. Go over your Practice Quiz that you received today during math.
Grade 6 - Have a quiz tomorrow on multiplying and dividing decimals.
Also, there are 2 questions in the textbook that are due tomorrow also.
6 - April 18th is Fun Lunch
7 - Research different paper airplane designs - we will be building paper airplanes and our first contest will be about greatest distance (long, level flight)
Learning Intention
What did you learn today?
We learned a variety of paper airplane designs as well as experimented with different materials to design our paper airplanes.
How did you show what you learned?
We designed, made and tested our own airplanes. We used videos and instruction booklets. When our planes didn't fly the way we wanted, we went back and fixed something and then we tried again. We also tried different designs to accomplish the same goal.
What do you need to learn next?
We will test which designs fly the farthest! We will also look at creative designs that students have created.
