We used miras to create a symmetrical drawing of a tree and a plant.

We want to apply this skill to a greeting card.

Super Secret Santa

1 - Sports Day Friday - bring Dr. Coffin mug
2 - Sign Social Studies test - return by Thursday
3 - Handbells - we are walking for 15 minutes - Dress appropriately!!! Please wear your Dr. Coffin shirt or something else green. You must bring a lunch so we can eat before we depart.
4 - Mrs. Lee's math group - sign your math test and do your corrections.

We enjoyed watching each other open our gifts and clues while we did secret santa.

You have Methane Gas Inside You

Agenda:
1- Mrs. Lim/Lee’s math group: 1) Take your math test and go over questions you did not do correctly with parents if enough time. Bring back on Thursday.  2) Do one sheet from your Division package and time yourself. Use the multiplication chart provided only if necessary.  (POW is not for homework. Bring it to class tomorrow).
2 - Review the Chemistry Google Sheet - if you got invited to it today.
3 - Mrs. Saunders' math group - find out some information about Pascal's triangle.
4 - Secret Santa starts tomorrow!!!! Gifts or tokens need to come Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

A reminder for students in Handbells to bring in their permission forms tomorrow and to prepare to wear green, white, red, or black for their presentation as well as walking boots/shoes on Wednesday.

What did you learn today?
We learned it is easier to double a fraction and harder to reduce it by half. We also saw that recipes are full of fractions. 
How did you show what you learned?
We are taking a favorite recipe and changing the fractions so we can double and half the fractions. 
What do you need to learn next?
We need to do the math, type it up and compare our work to the rubric. There are also 2 extensions we could complete - convert the recipe for 60 people OR convert the measurements to metric.

Fresh Air Friday tomorrow - Please come dressed for the weather! We will be outside, in our field and Whispering Woods for a large portion of the morning. Bring snow pants, mitts, boots, hat, warm coat, etc.

We learned natural disasters may occur in each region. 
How did you show what you learned?
We researched and recorded jot notes about about various natural disasters, such as flooding, earth quakes and hurricanes. 
What do you need to learn next?
We will be having a social studies quiz by the end of next week. We will want to begin studying.
