We met Miss Kelsey today. She is our Columbia College practicum student for the Educational Assistant program!

What did you learn today?
We created our Interactive Math Journal page for multiplication. We understand that we need to be able to multiply 2 digit by 2 digit numbers. 
How did you show what you learned?
We created a 6 flap tool to show 3 ways to multiply, definitions and synonyms for multiplication. 
What do you need to learn next?
We will learn/review the 3 methods and then determine which method works best for us.

We wrote down the 8 phases of the moon to complete our Moon Phase Flip Book.

We need to understand why the moon looks different from earth? Does the moon look the same from the ISS everyday?

Learning Intentions
What did you learn today?
We tried to explain why we need to learn Sky Science.
How did you show what you learned?
We created a list as a class together about why we think we need to learn about the Science of the Sky. 
What do you need to learn next?
We need to learn what we need to learn based on the curriculum BUT we need to learn more. 

-      -  we need to know where we are
-       - we need to know what is around our planet
-       - when we look up in the sky we need to know what we are seeing.
-       -To be prepared for celestial objects around us and to prepare if necessary – we need to be able to develop appropriate technologies
-       -We have maturity to handle abstract concepts but are young enough to still have awe and wonder about ‘cool’ ideas
-       -We will use this background knowledge in our future careers – what if one of us gets to work for NASA, Elon Musk, Rothney Observatory Center,
-       -We need to know about the patterns that happen in the sky
-       -It’s cool to study space because we don’t know about it

-       -How does orbiting around the sun and the moon affect us

We created mini-tableaus of what we thought our play could look like. Back in class we drew comics and wrote dialogue that will help to inform our finished product on Friday.

We need to learn our lines and actions, keep practicing our performance and preform it on Friday.

We need to apply this to our learning in science and begin looking for science current events. We need to focus on the key ideas about what we are reading.

We continued to work on our dance performance for tomorrow's assembly.

We used serious expressions and are very solemn to show that many people died and that food was scarce.

We need to come dressed properly for our performance tomorrow and we get to perform for an audience tomorrow morning.

Terrific Tuesday Test Taking Tips

Highlights
What did you learn today?
We wrote our science test today. One thing we wanted to learn was some test taking strategies. 
How did you show what you learned?
We had some students use headsets to help them concentrate, we made sure to have a snack and a drink of water before we started, on the multiple choice questions, we crossed off the ones we were sure were wrong which left us with only 2 answers to choose from,  (now we had a 50% chance of being right) and we were able to ask for help if we were confused. 
What do you need to learn next?
We can't wait for our next test :-)
