What did you learn today?
We tried to explain why we need to learn Sky Science.
How did you show what you learned?
We created a list as a class together about why we think we need to learn about the Science of the Sky.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to learn what we need to learn based on the curriculum BUT we need to learn more.
- - we need to know where we are
- - we need to know what is around our planet
- - when we look up in the sky we need to know what
we are seeing.
- -To be prepared for celestial objects around us
and to prepare if necessary – we need to be able to develop appropriate
technologies
- -We have maturity to handle abstract concepts but
are young enough to still have awe and wonder about ‘cool’ ideas
- -We will use this background knowledge in our
future careers – what if one of us gets to work for NASA, Elon Musk, Rothney
Observatory Center,
- -We need to know about the patterns that happen
in the sky
- -It’s cool to study space because we don’t know
about it
- -How does orbiting around the sun and the moon affect us
