What did you learn today?
We learned the Reason for the Seasons today because today is the Winter Solstice - shortest day of the year! The reason for the seasons is due to the tilt (23.5 degrees) on the earth's axis. It is not due to the distance we are away from the sun.
While on our winter walk with our buddies today, we also noticed that the sun was low on the horizon today.
How did you show what you learned?
We went on a Winter Walk with our buddies. We watched 2 videos and took notes during our discussion about the reason for the seasons and the winter solstice.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to learn about the Summer Solstice. And the spring (vernal) and fall (autumnal) equinoxes.
