Chasing Vermeer.... nearly solved!

4 - For tomorrow, Find a news article of interest to you. Bring in a hard copy OR share it with me through Google Docs. You can use http://www.ourlittleearth.com if you are stuck where to start.
5 - Please bring your item for our Room 7 basket for the Family Dance by May 5th.

What did you learn today?
We have nearly finished Chasing Vermeer. We learned about building suspense in our own writing. 
How did you show what you learned?
We used the Magic of threes and Red Flag Words. We also noticed that Blue Balliett does this often in her writing. 
What do you need to learn next?
We want to continue listening for examples and try writing our own Suspense for a picture prompt tomorrow. Also, we are going to start the novel The Hobbit and will be able to identify ways in which JR Tolkein develops details and creates suspense.

We used a social studies text book as well as notes on the board to fill in our sheets.

We are looking at the Fur Trade next.

We found out it doesn't have to be the same letter, but the same sound. Quiet cats can fly kites
