What did you learn today?
We learned how to use a sundial and understood what it was showing us.
How did you show what you learned?
We learned that in order to use a sun dial properly we needed to understand exactly where north is.

We know the sun doesn't move, but the shadow changed positions because the earth rotated on its axis which caused the sun light to cast a shadow in a different spot each hour.

What do you need to learn next?
We would like to use them again after the Spring Forward  time change happens and see how that impacts the position of the shadow.
