Highlights
What did you learn today?
We were on our field trip to Ralph Klein Park. We focused on how birds fly and the adaptations they have that enable them to fly. We also learned the sounds The Red Tailed Hawk and the Bald Eagle make.
We also built mini flying devices.

How did you show what you learned?
We went through 5 stations to learn about how the design of a bird's wing was used when designing the wing of an airplane. We touched a REAL duck foot and a pigeon foot. We discovered that the bones of bird are hallow.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to apply this knowledge to a unit on Flight. We want to try and make a better plane next time too.
