this is italics printing - it is used when an author wants words to stand out or to be highlighted, maybe a word of interest and could be used for different thoughts.

PAT Review - Social and Science Review packages are ready for you to take home and study from. Please sign them out if you'd like to bring one home. Also, you received a Science PAT overview sheet. Please share this with your parents so you all know what to expect 3 weeks from today!

2) Novel Recommendation is due June 6th

3) Social - Students MUST ask  family members questions to learn more about their immigration story. This work is happening in class now and if they don't have any information it is making it hard to work in class.

Part of our day will be on a bird watching walk with an expert bird watcher. Please ensure you are dressed for the weather - layers, good walking shoes, hat and sunscreen if needed. Pack extra water and snacks too.

Learning Intention
What did you learn today?
We learned how to sketch and shade trees, specifically the Aspen trees in our Whispering Woods.
How did you show what you learned?
We worked with our sketch artist, Ryder and used our new artist kits and our visual journal.
What do you need to learn next?
We need to add leaves and more details to make it look more realistic. We will be using our skills to draw a before and after view of the area where the 9 new trees and bench are going to be going.
