Learning Intention
What did you learn today?
We learned the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees. Coniferous trees have needles and cones and deciduous have leaves the 'decide' to fall off in the fall.
How did you show what you learned?
We completed a scavenger hunt in our school yard and in Whispering Woods. We tallied the type of tree, the bark patterns and the branching patterns. From these we created fractions, ratios and percents.
What do you need to learn next?
We will be able to identify the trees we see while we are at Outdoor School.
